Racing for a Cure

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda to ensure the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's. To date, $700 million has been raised to fund the research necessary to fight Parkinson's disease. Team Fox is a grass roots fundraising program created by the Michael J. Fox Foundation that puts 100% of every dollar raised towards crucial Parkinson's disease research. Team Fox members turn their passion for finding a cure for Parkinson's disease into unique fundraising opportunities. Since its inception in 2000, Team Fox has raised $45 million to continue the search for better therapies and hopefully, a cure for Parkinson's disease.

Sonny Whelen, sponsor of the #31 Whelen Engineering Chevrolet SS, has struggled with Parkinson's disease for the last eleven years. After being diagnosed, Sonny joined the fight to find a cure for Parkinson's by starting his own Team Fox events in 2012. Thanks to your support and generous donations, Sonny's "Racing for a Cure" has raised more than $825,000 to help find a cure for Parkinson's disease.

The No. 31 Whelen Engineering Chevrolet SS team is proud to be a part of Team Fox and to help The Michael J. Fox Foundation bring awareness to finding a cure for Parkinson's. Donate to Racing for a Cure by clicking
